Description
The Cliffs At Keowee Vineyards is a private 1,400 acre golf and recreation community located on Lake Keowee in Pickens County, South Carolina. It is bordered by Keowee Toxaway State Park and Horse Pasture State Park which comprises over 66,000 acres of protected land.

Location
The Community is conveniently located 3.8 miles off Cherokee Foothills Scenic
Parkway (SC Highway 11), a one hour drive from Greenville, South Carolina or Asheville,
North Carolina and within a two hour drive of Atlanta or Charlotte. The
Greenville/Spartanburg International Airport is slightly more than an hour's drive.

Climate
Nestled at the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the golf season will last virtually all year round. While the winter season is mild, the summer temperatures at the lake are surprisingly cool and comfortable.
Golf
An eighteen hole, par 71 masterpiece golf course is being designed by world-renowned architect, Tom Fazio, at The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards. The golf course will feature 8 waterfront holes, and offer breathtaking drama with the blue-green lake water and the Carolina mountain scape. At present, we anticipate the opening of the golf course to be late 1999.

Lake Keowee
Created by Duke Power in 1971, Lake Keowee is over 23 miles in length with some areas over 4 miles wide, covering more than 18,500 acres. In certain areas of the lake the depth is well over 250 feet. The community has 16 miles of shoreline. Lake Keowee boasts some of the finest fishing in the country. The favorite fish of Lake Keowee are Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill and White Bass.
Amenities
The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards include over 700 boat slips with a full service marina and fuel center, tennis courts, a general store, and a fabulous clubhouse that offers casual and formal dining, a fully equipped fitness center and an indoor adult lap pool.
The Environment
The Sierra Club has stated that this particular area "is one of the most pristine natural environments located anywhere in the eastern part of the United States".

The Community will be a private residential community with a 24 hour gated entrance.
